Liverpool vs Fulham: betting odds 14 Dec 2024
Betting tips 14 Dec 2024
The league leaders are set to face a side that has halted both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. Fulham might even be more dangerous than Real Madrid, and here’s why.
Neither Real Madrid nor Manchester City managed to score against Liverpool at Anfield. However, Fulham certainly possess the capability to do so. They are hard to stop once they find their goalscoring rhythm, a streak they’ve maintained for an impressive 16 matches. The last goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet against them was André Onana of Manchester United, back when Erik ten Hag was in charge (0:1). That seems like ages ago, doesn’t it? It seems like an anomaly now. Arsenal were the latest to be caught unaware (1:1). Despite dominating possession and creating a barrage of shots (12), they were undone by a single Fulham counter-attack early in the match, finished with a precise shot by Raúl Jiménez.
Liverpool, of course, are expected to score. They are on an impressive scoring run of their own, now at 18 matches. They've even surpassed Fulham in this regard, having started their streak slightly later, on the 17th of September, against AC Milan (3:1). Adding to Liverpool’s challenges, they face injuries to three defenders: Kostas Tsimikas, Conor Bradley, and Ibrahima Konaté. Plus, they’ll be without the suspended defensive midfielder Alexis Mac Allister due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
While there’s little doubt about a Liverpool victory, both teams should find the net. Liverpool have triumphed in three of the last four encounters against Fulham, with Fulham scoring in every single one of those meetings.
